Switch 2 Delivers
Rating: 5/5
After diving into the Nintendo Switch 2 for over two months since its June launch, it's clear this is the refined evolution fans dreamed of. The larger 8-inch 1080p OLED screen with 120Hz refresh makes handheld Zelda sessions pop, while docked 4K/60fps output (with DLSS upscaling) breathes new life into classics like Breath of the Wild. Magnetic Joy-Con 2 controllers are a game-changer – their mouse mode shines in titles like Fortnite for precise aiming, and built-in GameChat with noise-canceling mic enables seamless multiplayer without extra apps. Backward compatibility is flawless for my 100+ Switch library, and launch hits like Mario Kart World feel next-gen. Battery could be longer for marathon plays, and the $450 price stings compared to the original, but for portable power and Nintendo magic, it's unbeatable.
