The Lenovo Legion Go S packs a punch with its AMD Ryzen Z1 Extreme processor, 16GB RAM, and a stunning 8.8-inch 144Hz QHD display that makes games like Cyberpunk 2077 look razor-sharp even in handheld mode. Battery life clocks in at around 2-3 hours for intensive sessions, which is decent for the form factor, and the detachable controllers are a game-changer for couch co-op. Setup was breeze with Windows 11 pre-installed, and it supports Xbox Game Pass seamlessly. That said, the 1TB SSD feels a bit stingy at this price point – you'll want an external drive pronto. It's bulkier than the Steam Deck, so pocketability is a no-go, and the FPS mode (using one controller as a mouse) takes some getting used to.
